Five structural gaps between the build on codex/unified-video-corpus-evidence and Figma Direction 2. Each card says what a non-technical teammate hits today and what this prototype does instead. The full punch list with file and node references is in the Codex brief.
1There is no spine
Today: the mode switch is a small toggle inside a toolbar next to a search box and Prev/Next. In Blind review three more bars stack under it; with Filters open the video starts 690px down on an 854px-tall window.
Here: the header owns the mode switch, one progress strip says how far the batch is, and the work starts right under it. Title and subtitle change with the mode so the page explains itself.

2Two products stitched together
Today: Evidence renders one card component, Blind review renders another with a different header, player and chrome. After you submit, the whole card is swapped, so the header, player and layout all jump.
Here: one workbench shell in both modes. Only the right-hand inspector, a state chip and a banner change. Same player, no autoplay with sound, no “Unload preview” or source overlay on the video.

3The hero is buried
Today: a five-track analysis rail (Visual / Voice / Music / Gaps / Lulls) with 8px labels. The findings are the thinnest marks on it, and it sits below the fold.
Here: one “Moments” strip directly under the video with the findings as the only marks, big enough to click, tooltips with the claim, a live playhead. The detected layers stay one toggle away, off by default.

4Our vocabulary, not theirs
Today: “Council ready”, “Signals ready”, “Judgment unavailable”, “cross-modal lull candidate”, “Save label”, full generation IDs in headers, ticket numbers in empty states.
Here: one lifecycle word (Ready / Partial / Processing / Not evaluated), “Submit review”, short copyable render IDs, counts on Findings and Details, and every internal term moved into Details or a tooltip. The full say-this-not-that table is in the brief.
Brief §4
5The queue is not the queue
Today: search, Prev/Next and Load more live in a separate toolbar; Queue/Labeled and Filters are separate bars; below 1280px the queue disappears and a combobox stands in for it.
Here: the queue panel owns search, the filter popover, the Pending/Reviewed split, the count and paging. On short or narrow windows it collapses into a “Queue” selector in the workbench header instead of vanishing. Try resizing this window to under 780px tall.
